Weight pulling is the next dog fighting??

    So I was driving this morning and heard the commercial for the local Fox News tonight...and they have this big story on dogs (didn't hear if they said "pit bulls" or not)who weight pull and is it animal abuse and the subsitution for dog fighting. LOL...So basically what this country has come to is, if you have a dog that does anything other than sit on the couch and do nothing, its animal abuse??!!! :rolleyes:

    in the netherlands its forbidden to use your dog for any pulling purposes. i think its originated in not using the dog for work but it also applies on sport.

    If they made pulling illegal, all the bulldog fanciers might as well stick to matching... If everything you do with your dog is illegal, you might as well do what they were originally meant for... unless your going to get out of the dogs all together.

    The headline was definitely aimed at shock value. If you watch the video, you can see it was fairly positive. And that my dog is crazy.
