when to worm puppies??

    guy the other day said 2, 4, and 6 weeks, i use to start worming at 5 or 6 can't really remember, i forget stuff over time, it's the first litter of pups i've had in about a year or 2. they're almost 4 weeks now.

    I would say worm them now. I like to work with three, five and seven. Everyone is different though.

    I feel the best time is starting at 2 weeks and every week for 4 weeks (with Pyrantel for rounds and hooks). I also do a prophylactic course of Albon for coccidia at 6 weeks old.

    I worm mine at 2, 4, and 6 weeks. I use a half and half mix of Panacur and Strongid T. I give em half a cc a day for 3 days every 2 weeks, until there 6 weeks old. Then I worm them once a month.

    i've always done it at 2,4, and 6 weeks. then albon at 6 weeks. be sure to deworm the mother also. if you don't then it doesn't do much good deworming the pups.
     
  6. we have always done it at 2,3,4, and 6 weeks... we wormed mom at 4 and 6 (before that we figured she was getting enough from the puppies poop)
