Worcester: Amazing dog trick

WORCESTER — Jodi McArthur of Worcester peers into her car at King, a pit bull that jumped through the driver's side front window as she was driving on Mason Street yesterday afternoon. Ms. McArthur saw the dog running through traffic moments before it lunged through her open window. Ms McArthur and a passenger, Shane Pereria of Worcester, left, stopped the car to let the dog out, but despite their efforts to coax it, the pit bull would not leave. The police were called to the scene at 63 Mason St., and the city's chief animal control officer, Steven T. Donahue, arrived. After being alerted that the dog owner lived at 63 Mason St., Mr. Donahue asked for his assistance.


Cesar Murillo, of 63 Mason St. brings King back to his house after removing the pit bull from Ms. McArthur’s car. When the pit bull would not leave the car, Mr. Murillo was alerted to the situation and removed his acrobatic dog.




King stares out with his paw on the car window. The dog owner was not cited at the scene. A proposal that would have required residents to confine their dogs on private property, by leash or a fence, was shelved by a City Council committee last night.
