I am getting the name of my first dog on my arm soon (her name is Trudy). I am thinking about getting it really old school/Sailor Jerry style. I am thinking maybe with a heart and roses and what not.

 

I got one but got a few more lined up if I can find the space to put em...lol

Why bother, I was born a marked woman...I have a portwine stain over nearly 1/4 of my body (entire left arm, part of back, chest and neck). I stand out in a crowd without even trying. It looks stunning in a sleeveless, black evening dress!! And turns a wonderful shade of purple when I am cold. Never did understand tattoos. I opened this thread thinking it was about tattooing the DOG!...which is what I do everyday at work.

alot of people say they dont understand tattoos. i think of it as a way to decorate and show off your body. austins mom im sure you have pictures on your wall ar furniture or decorate your home. its kinda the same but you take it with u every where

I personally don’t have any tattoos but I as well as most, understand and know that there is a big difference between a birthmark (unusual mark or blemish on the skin) and a tattoo (form of art one puts on the body).

I work for an animal shelter as a handler. We use tattooing as a permanent form of id.

My point about having a deformity just meant that I grew up trying to hide something and being self-conscious, so for me I just wanted to blend.

I'm older now and don't care anymore. I just answer the questions and get on with life.

I do, however, like tattoos. I've seen some fabulous body art...and some pretty pathetic ones, too.

My 15 yo is beginning to talk about getting one. I won't give in to permanent body alterations till he's 18 and is in charge of his own decisions.

He does have green hair though! And for eigth grade graduation I let him get a 5" RED mohawk. He got a standing ovation when he received his diploma!!

Most pit bull tattoos people get are cheesy and poorly done. For every 30 I've seen maybe one is actually descent looking. The worst is these idiots that copy some flash art tattoo that a million wanna be DMX's have like the stupid one that has the grim reaper holding a chain and pointing or the cheesy head and spiked collar that looks like a third grader drew it. The key to getting a good tattoo is researching the artist before letting them just stick anything on you. People do not take them seriously enough and get stuck with bad tats. Another stupid one is the alien head pit bull syndicate logo that everyone is getting now. Come on people, get an original idea. If your not that creative have some one help you out. I have 5 tats so far .. the next one will be of my three pits but I havent found an artist I trust enough yet . each tat was done by a different artist & i currently have two that need some work done on them.
