not to mention, when i went to the last A.D.B.A show i spoke to every judge before i left....and when i ask what the wanted the dogs tolook like everyone of them told me that they wanted dogs to look as if they were going into a pit tomarrow.....people cant respect me or hear me out for the reasons that i did my dogs ears

    1. i think it brings out the look of the dog
    2. ive always wanted to hunt my dog
    3. i heard from a vet that it would minimize the chances of ear problems

instead watcher had to compleatly seperate people who do dogs ears in to a grooup of people that are inhumane and want our dogs to look mean....the 2 types of people that i constantly fight to stop....i took offince to that and i still do...
then i get a message talking about how im ruing the breed and how my dog has not game because of the fancy titals in front of the dogs name in my pedigrees....i will not stand down to him

Well your dogs pedigree doesnt have the dogs to back it up to hunt. Im not saying your dog cant hunt but there is a slim slim chance that it will and exceed in doing that.

I cannot believe that this thread has turned into such a great debate. Wow! I personally have 2 dogs with cropped and one uncropped. I like the look of both. Ozzy's were done before we got him. Bentley's we had done because his ears were super long, and just hung there like, well ya know that song "Do your ears hang low"...LOL. The vet even said that they were the longest ears he has ever seen on a pit bull. He didnt do the best job either. Same doc did Oz and his look great.

i told him to watch himself because of the pms he was writing me....that was just one of the reasons i liked croped ears...i had a dog at the time that i didnt have the ears done on and he had ear problems, and when i got her i wated to try it out on her....
heres a pic of my old dog...

This is a pretty good debate without getting off track, I understand both point of views. I have always loved a set of rose ears but unfortunately, I never had a dog with a perfect set. The only time I will consider cropping ears is if they are absolutely jacked, ie "hound dog ears." If they had a nice semi prick or rose, I wouldn't touch emm.

according to this guy cropping them at all is inhumane and youre only doing to have a mean looking dog...and if you say somthing he'll send you pm's challanging you to match your dogs....

Well once you see that you have some game dogs in the 6th generation and back i dont think it would show there genetics in your dog that far back in the ped. Just my opinion.

Awesome looking dog, however, I agree with others when they say the cut is way too long. I don't think it's possible for her head to grown into her ears as her ears won't shrink, they will always be that size. I also would take her back to the vet before it is too late and get them cut a little shorter. I personally don't like the doberman cut for this breed. JMHO Good luck with her.
