Most the time Duchess sleeps in her the extra room were Bishops crate is..... But on occasion i will alow them to sleep in my room. they sleep on the floor Bishop usualy sleeps close to the door and Duches on the floor infront of the bed.... When she was a pup i let her sleep in the bed with me. So she is more thne happy to hop in the bed. thats not allowed though But she is like a ninja . A couple of times last year i woke up and she was tucked tight behind my knees......

All 3 of mine sleep in my bed.

Bell (black bitch) is right by my left shoulder/head
Change (white dog) is by my right leg
Jake (in bed about 1/2 the time, the other 1/2 is on the living room couch) is in my right armpit, head buried.

    Good Thread!

Yeah, mine all take their spot at night but sleeping in the bed is a privilege (even for the hubby sometimes :D:eek:). Any dog that grumbles, growls, gives stinkeye, or raises an eyebrow at the other in MY bed, gets bed priviledges taken away for the night. Only had one fight break out and it was between the peke and the shihtzu (go figure ).

Nell had to earn her spot on the bed over several months after I aquired her and I used her to prop up my feet so I could feel if she decided to make a move. She very much values that privilege, so much so that just one night on the floor if she hasn't been listening and she is a different dog.

I still keep a break stick on the bed stand but haven't had to use it yet.

My main complaint is that Nell LOVES heat. I am a sound sleeper and have woken up sweating with a pitbull spooning me on more than one occassion :o.

We rotate our dogs in their crates and out into our bed/the house.

Mush Mouth and Cadillac can be out together if none of the girls are in heat. They will curl up with us real close. Mush Mouth usually cuddles into me and pushes my Fiance with his feet.

Atreyu, Azure and Cadillac come out together when none are in heat and they all sleep with us. Cadillac and Azure by our feet and Atreyu right up by my face.

Or, if Cadillac is pissy she will sleep in her recliner. She doesn't allow the other dogs to sit there.

Our other dogs all come out individually but they get their chances to sleep in our bed as well. . .usually they are by our feet.

We also have a chain setup which we rotate the dogs onto each day as well. Gives them some variety and some time to be dogs outside.

most nights my mastiff sleeps in the bed with me, sometimes i rotate and let the others have an occassional night in the bed with me, otherwise three sleep in their crates and one has her own bedroom. my mastiff was here first so he has special priveleges. all five (one English Mastiff and four APBTs) are house dogs.

When my dogs sleep inside they get leashed up to the knob on the outside part of my front door. They get about 6 ft of lead and their more than grateful for it.

Ive left them loose a few times but they just find their way to my kids room and pick out toys to chew all nite. Another time my wife woke me up scared as hell with the revolver calked back cause she heard someone in the kitchen, my girl dog was just on the countertop licking a greasy pan i left on the oven.

Poor parents just had their pit save their kid this week:

Good pit, sh*tty parents, I mean who the hell hides in a closet with a gun while their kid is in another room with an intruder in the house?

He's learned pretty good house manners and isn't too pushy or rude about being on furniture so I let him sleep in my bed with me. Unless I have, um, "company" over or if it's really hot, then he sleeps on his dog bed in my bedroom. I keep the bedroom door shut because otherwise he sometimes gets in the garbage.
