EDIT: BTW, I called the motel on the flyer last week & the woman said they took dogs & there was no pet deposit. But if anyone has any questions I'd call again just to make sure. This is just what they told me. But if you call, get the name of the person you speak with & tape the conversation if you can. I went to a pull earlier this year & called ahead & was told they took dogs & there was no pet deposit. But when we got there (at 1:00 a.m.) all of a sudden the woman I spoke to told me there was a $50 pet deposit required!

Why go? It's not a true conformation show - it's just a fun show. There are no points with any of the recognized registries.

They are ALL fun shows, points or no points, that is the point in going. I might get blasted for this but who gives a shit about ANY "recognized registry" when they are registering 100+ pound dogs as APBTS. I mean grown men prancing dogs around a ring for points "which I like doing". I mean how serious can you be? I just shreaded all my paperwork the other day and called both registries I use and told them all my dogs had past away.

a lot of folks are answering questions here when they don't even seem to know what's really what.

try visiting the site USDOGS.NET and see for yourself what is going on.

Floyd Boudreaux is the Vice President, this show is a benefit for him and his legal fund, but the USDO is an ongoing endeavor by some very longtime, well-respected dog folks.

Anyone trying to urge folks not to go or give money for it clearly has an agenda besides helping a well respected dogman keep up his fight against the dog killers.

have a peek at the board members on the membership form and say some some more stuff about how it's worthless :rolleyes: and like the h$u$. :confused:

there are several numbers listed on the site depending on who you want or for what.

if you mean for the show you can use any that are on the flyer (which are the same ones that have always been on the flyer!).

p.s. we had someone go in person and talk to the owner of the kings motel. there is no problem at all with dogs in rooms, they just must stay crated, not out in the room. there is also camping. info on flyer or site.
