Come on and admit it! Do you spoon?

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by Rocky H. Balboa, Feb 14, 2007.

  1. Good morning all! Here is another topic for us to come out of the closet and admit it...lol.....Do you spoon with your dog(s)?

There has been more than one Dogman that brings their athlete into their bed on keep time. There are no details of what happens in the bed ;) . So, thinking and using dog mentality, spooning is pretty much a natural thing for dogs. Just look how pups get together or how multiple dog homes cuddle together at sleep time. Well, since my dog was nice and clean yesterday after a bath after a hard workout, I decided to give him some bed time. Instinctively, he threw his body (back) onto my side and rested his head on my arm. Sure, he was enjoying the moment. Well, after a while, in my semi-conscious state, I threw a leg and other arm on him creating a "spooning" effect with the exception of the leg on him (on hind). There you go, I have come out and said it!

So now, since a "big" guy like me can admit to cuddle with my dog and still expect him to act and be a bulldog, what will you admit to this morning? Don't worry, it will stay between you and me!:D

yes, i spoon with my little chihuahua..LOL.....

  4. LOL....my husband thinks that this is only for men to do, because women dont normally like the APBT in bed with them.....LOL....I love my husband, he is nuts. Before I met him, I spooned with all of my dogs, now I can only spoon with him. LMAO! I wish he would let me bring Tabious and Prance in the bed with me/us. They are GREAT cuddlers!

  5. I am the complete opposite I like the dog laying in bed but the wife dosn,t she would rather the dog lay on the floor. Now I was thinking about spooning my wife That is what I firsts thought you was talking about. In that case I guess so LOL. But when my wife is out of town yes the dog sleeps in the bed with me. I hate sleeping alone.

  6. that little pupy that I got last night slept on my neck all night long it was cute.

Well, Big Girl is a BED HOG and usually sleeps with one of the kids, she is so funny because she gets all the way under the covers. Now when my husband is out of town, both dogs sleep with me and yes we snuggle! Our Chihuahua is a sneaky little thing he seems to just "appear" in the bed whether he was invited or not. If Big Girl doesn't get the invite, she sleeps on the couch. Of course I am not a man...nor a dog man

Yep, every day. I am usually a Noel sandwich, me curled around Birdie and Petey curled around me. Especially when I'm not feeling good, the dogs insist on snuggling with me.

Petey likes to curl up in the crook behind my bent knees and my husband says we look like a yin-yang sign.

When I was hospitalized last year, Birdie was with me most of the time, the nurses told Mark to leave her with me and they would make sure she was walked so she could go to the bathroom and feed her too. They even smuggled Petey in for a couple hours one day because they loved Birdie.

  16. Yep, I have to get in the bed ahead of time to get a good spot...Sol cuddles up by my chest and Vicki likes to keep my legs on lockdown...oh and the cat climbs on my chest. Wouldn't have it any other way:)
Last night I was especially warm... -17 here with the wind chill and my bedroom was freezing, even with the heat. We stayed nice and warm!

I let them jump in my recliner and sit with me while I am awake. Does that count. I don't let the dogs sleep with me though. Not that I mind if they jump in my bed while I am awake. But I have crates out and Gus and Baby have their own beds in the living room. I can't be touched once I am a sleep. Combat thing.

I used to let Mercedes and Bentley sleep with me and Joey, but once they grew up, NO WAY...lol! They are bed hogs and Bentley snores terribly loudly! Harley and Parker sleep with us at night and on occasion Mercedes gets to. Ozzy never has, he wont do it. Which is fine by me. I like to stretch out, I guess I'm quite the bed hog myself. Mercedes used to push me OFF the bed if I got to close to Joey, that's her Daddy..little bitch..LOL!

Sleep and snuggle with my dog everynight.... Wife complains that she snores and I give the dog more attention than she gets.

We have a couch in our room that Max sleeps on most of the time. He's just too much to be cuddling in the bed. Our little pup Misfit is different though she gets to jump in and chill in the bed with us but there's not enough room for everyone to be sleeping on the bed at night lol.
