Any of yall use Trifexis ? Been using it going on 3 years & like it. I dont have to treat my property near as often with it.

 

Never tried it .I have already sprayed my yard twice and once by a professional.I bought some High Yeild 38 plus, that's what I been spraying with and its working very well for me.

 

Works on everything to, really good on fire ants. 25 bucks for 16 ounces I think it was..1 ounce per gallon of water, I mixed 2.

 

I hate the dang ants, man, they are a pain in many ways. I recommend the trifexis , it works good, heart worm, & others, plus fleas & it dont say ticks but I dont get them either. I do treat twice a year with granules though just to make sure. If you get off trail to the hog pens or around them , I mean 2 feet even, ya get nailed by ticks & shit

 

Ill go a little bit deeper into spraying your yard.Ok , It works but when you spray the yard the fleas jump on the first thing in sight , to escape the poison which is going to be your dog.So after you spray your yard you should consider a cap star , flea bath or a spray like a flea spray and massage it in.Wait 2 to 3 hours .I prefer flea baths after I spray my yard , its milder and I can give one twice a day if needed.No cheap solution , in the long run as far as fleas your better off to go with something like Red did here and not spray .I spray to kill everything from ants to mole crickets that eat the root of my centipede grass.

 

If you have a very good product on your dogs like Red does even after you spray no matter how many fleas get on them it will break the cycle or kill all the fleas..You can't spray your yard and expect this to be the only solution.

 

Yep, I do also use a mild mixture of stable spray the first day .. I also use a strong stable spray around the house & edges of fence, for the ones that would try to come into yard, & as long as I can keep the field rats away, I dont usually have much issue.. But them bastards are the worst Ive seen em, this year I caught 2 field mice out the cab of my truck & there is now another, I hate the bug carrying vermin.. Couple these rats are so big they whopped the possums ass & sent it running

 

Mice will fuk your shit up..I havent had a issue since I movedinto my new home .I had a place outside were the A.C line goes to the outsIide, its your drain line.Thier was just enough space for them to fit thru and come out where my A.C unit is inside , and very well secured but they are smart.I made a mixture of shit and totally sealed it off and no more issues.A vehickle is impossible to keep em out of , never leave anything food wise in your vehickle..And that still aint enough, they love go chew wires.

 

Yep.. They got in the house threw the dang dryer vent.. Pissed me off.. The new house has it in the roof, & I havent seen anyway in threw the brick yet.. They are just finishing the clean up on it.. In fact Im sitting in my chair waiting to snipe a bastard that just crossed the floor ..lol.. The last 2 in the truck were building a nest under the back seat.. Got lucky & they had just been eating the little ones crumbs & the roll of hokey tickets when I got them..

 

Yea I hate mice ,at least you found where they were coming in at,mine was the drain line for the AC unit and its brick around it,if you would have saw it ,you would have thought no dam way are they getting in right there .Them fuckers are somethin else and yea I was just as pissed as you I'm sure.Sittin here watching the local news and something black shot across the floor and I'm like no fuckin way ,and sure enough it was a black mouse.I just went and bought Dcon,problem is if they die inside and u can't find them they stink like hell .Got lucky and actually found his dead ass.i sealed it up around the drain line and no more problems.

 

peppermint oil detours mice ,,,spiders,,, snakes etc...
smells good and isnt harmful to the dogs unless they get it in their eyes...

I learned this when some friends and I went looking for old cars and an old collector had an old 34' coupe that went to pasture over forty years ago,,,
when we open the doors there wasnt a rats nest or little black pellets like the other yards we been to and it smelt pleasant to boot...

Some years later I seen some drug runners on border wars that oiled their boots with the peppermint in hopes of the rattle snakes not striking...

 

That would do no good In the South.Even if it worked it wouldn't work against sugar ants.Hot summer sun here would melt it and it would become syrup.I would never use any type of food or candy as a deterant.

Is that safe to use around the dogs Reddirrt?....I've got tons of fire ants around me but dont want to poisen any of the dogs

 

Ill give it a try...I had mice get in my car after just sitting for a couple of months,the shit sucks!...Just spent 200 bucks at the freaking detailer trying to get the piss smell out

 

It definitely works. I used to work in the Solid Waste department for a city in Florida. The mice would make nests in the trucks and chew the shit out of the wiring until the mechanics started using peppermint oil in and around the trucks. A little bit goes a long way.

 

I have never had a mouse get in my vehickles.Know plenty folks that have but I nevef had it happen to me..knock on wood
